Stop skips due to ricochet. The video on the right shows the large exit hole in metal backing plates allows seeds to bounce back into the meter. The Population Max exit hole is the same size and shape as the finger. So the finger effectively closes over the exit hole preventing seeds from bouncing back into the meter.
